I am posting relatively often (Iโ€™d say 5 times a week) in my group and try my best to add valuable content, โ€œeasyโ€ participation posts (comment a gif/ poll/ etc) But it feels stagnant. My Instagram view and followers have finally started to take off (I do have my skool link in bio) so itโ€™s even more disheartening. I have been thinking of a couple of things to help my skool: - work on my offer and treat it as a lead magnet (but then people come for the content not the community) - Add the well performing videos from Instagram to here and see what happens - Make a totally different format (longer form YT) specifically to drive members and hopefully participants here Is it a normal slump, what am I doing wrong? Community is public freemium so please have a look and give me your thoughts

@Luce Taverner I think Yahya gave a very nice review of your community. And, regarding your IG, i noticed your winning formula is "You sitting/riding a motorbike and telling your story". Try to teach/review less and talk more about your motorbike riding experiences.

This is nice! Great value indeed!
The Blitz and what it taught me.
I've been relatively quiet for some time, mainly unwinding since the blitz and rethinking my position, again. Originally when I joined toward the end of the March Blitz, I was met with a crazy bunch of people hunting to be first on a post, and getting the most likes. Hoping to make either meaningful interaction to take them to the top. Some things I agreed with and some I did not. At some point I even said I would not do it. As with many things, I changed my mind along the way, and thought, we can do it. Feathered Fusion was one of the first teams that set their goals to do the Blitz in May after all. Winning the Blitz with my partner @Sandra Pilarczyk was a breeze in the end. We had a plan and it all paid off in the end. The most important lesson learnt for me is to be fast, be first, and help where you can. Further to this it showed me the importance of having an active group. We watched Goosify fly through the ranks in Discovery towards the end. The lesson. If you want your group to excel in Discovery, one of the most important factors is just that, keep your community buzzing. The last important lesson was the "like". When I got here i got drilled by many for not liking. The "like" is what makes you grow in any group. Most of us with our own communities know, the most difficult thing to do is grow your own levels. Where that should be easy, if you create valuable content, but more importantly, engage with everyone. Be generous with your likes, especially if you engage with someone. Your likes help others grow, as does their likes help you in return. And an active community that enjoys themselves, are set to win in my opinion! Happy Blitzing in whatever format it comes next! Happy liking!

@Goose Dunlavey great video as always. love this video series. But, I feel a real photo of you sitting there with hat and all and title would do better as a thumbnail than this flashy AI thumbnail. Nowadays, everyone do it and people getting fatigue of these. Real authentic photo will stand out specially with your unique appearance. Just a thought come to me. Anyways, love to hear you talk dude.
You just don't know until you do it (wrong) but that's okay!
I am very good at starting businesses, but if Iโ€™m completely honest, I initially started most of them very badly. When I launched my first proper graphic design and printing business in the early 90s, I managed to get a loan and immediately blew ยฃ1,500 of it on a hot foil printing machine. I wasted months of my life and had many frustrating late nights trying to calibrate the thing, get the print straight, and generally making an absolute mess of the handful of jobs I had actually managed to win. I didn't know what I was doing, and I got it completely wrong. Then one day, I saw an advert for a competitor who could produce a hundred perfect plastic business cards for about ยฃ8. That was half the price I was charging, and even cheaper than I could buy the blank card stock for myself. I could have thrown the towel in. Instead, I decided to never turn my machine on again. I used that competitor to make the cards for me, doubled their prices, and suddenly had all my time freed up to actually go out and sell my wares. It was the biggest lesson in leverage I ever learned, and I only learned it because I failed so miserably first. Right now I'm changing my newsletter and blogging platform, because last year I made the wrong choice. But I couldn't possibly have known that at the time, with all the research and overthinking in the world. I only know now, from hindsight, that their are better options. The most important thing is to make a decision and do it. ๐—” ๐—ฏ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐˜๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ป๐—ผ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป if it gets the ball rolling. If you are sitting on a business idea right now because you are trying to make the plan perfect or you are terrified of getting it wrong, let me save you the suspense: you are almost definitely going to get it wrong. And that is exactly how it is supposed to work. You have to get through the messy early days to find your footing. Action is always better than sitting on the fence.

@Adam McCollough nicely put it. I started my community without a clear offer/plan. I didn't know where should i direct my members. After serveral months, I figured out what should be the offer and how I can help the members in the most effective way. Second one is starting the second community before the first one is properly run with a system.
