Not the best weekend for the Cimorra goalkeeping department
On Saturday, my son’s team lost 3-5. The match pretty much got away from us in the first half — almost 4 shots, 4 goals, with two of them taking advantage of Lizer’s lack of height right from the start… The team reacted well though, and even missed a penalty.
In the second half, Lizer came out a bit shaken after the goals conceded, but he picked himself up and made several very good saves and brave interventions. Right at the end, with time basically up, he conceded the last goal after making a good initial save to a top córner in a free kick, but the rebound fell kindly for the opponents and scored.
And today it was my turn 😅 A 4-1 defeat for my Sunday league team, but with some really good saves and interventions. My teammates, the referee, players from the opposition and even some fans came over to congratulate me afterwards, which honestly means a lot.
