Keep Working

For everyone here who might need some motivation, I didn’t start playing in goal until I was 13 years old as a part time goalkeeper for a rec team. By the time I was 14 I was forced to move clubs and got lucky that the old goalkeeper quit. By the time I turned 15 I was able to play over in Spain against Manchester City, Barcelona, and other juggernauts. I was also second choice for a USL-A team. By 16 I was training with a USL Championship goalkeeper coach and had my first pro trials.

I’m saying all this just as a reminder to everyone to keep working hard and keep the head up, you might not see the progress immediately but eventually you will see the fruit of your labor.

Besides all that, how old were you all when you started in goal, and what is your dream club to play for?
