Gloves advice

Hi. Im a complete novice here seeking glove advice please. I’ve read over some of the posts already on and am considering Shok Shields for my son. He’s 12 and has slim hands and long fingers so it looks like roll finger seems the good choice.

He currently has a pair of OG1 Type G that really weren’t cheap but he’s not keen as he feels they fit tight (these seem to be Hybrid cut so confused now if roll finger will fit tighter?)

What he does wear is the (free!!) OG DRK Cell pair that he finds comfortable but have very little support, I can’t find anywhere what cut these are. He’s had a few knocks recently and ends up coming off injured so we are looking for a good supportive pair so he feels more secure and hopefully keep battling on.

Finger spines were suggested but I’m reading a lot against these now.
