Hereās the truth: the first version of your dispatching business will (probably) failā¦
ā¦and thatās okay.
Nokia: Started as a toilet paper company.
Samsung: Used to be a grocery store.
Lamborghini: Made tractors for farmers.
Success stories may look polished from the outside, but they rarely start that way.
When I started my dispatching business, it was full of mistakesālow-paying loads, angry carriers, and endless bad decisions.
I've never admitted this but, at one point... I was ready to give it all up.
But instead of throwing in the towel; I dug in, found what actually works, and built a $120k/mo dispatching business.
Hereās what I learned along the way:
1. āI need to be perfectā ā āI need to be consistentā
⢠Most don't succeed overnight, and neither will you.
⢠Real success takes timeāand consistent action every single day.
If you focus on being 1% better each day, youāll be unstoppable in a year.
2. āRejection means Iām failingā ā āRejection is just feedbackā
⢠Thomas Edison famously said, āI havenāt failedāIāve just found 10,000 ways that wonāt work.ā
⢠In dispatching, youāll get turned down by carriers and brokers daily.
Each rejection just brings you closer to the right āyes.ā Keep going.
3. āI need to have it all figured outā ā āI just need to startā
⢠Thinking and planning wonāt get you anywhere until you take action.
⢠Instead of obsessing over the āperfectā decision, make the best choice you can and go with it.
Forward motion is progressāeven if itās not perfect, itās better than standing still.
4. āI need results nowā ā āI want BIG results laterā
⢠Building a business takes time, and chasing immediate gratification will only hold you back.
⢠Focus on long-term growth instead of quick wins. Be patient, and the results will follow.
The most sustainable growth comes from those who stay consistent, not those looking for shortcuts.
5. āI donāt know what to doā ā āIāll learn from the expertsā
⢠You donāt need to reinvent the wheel. Find someone whoās already successful in dispatching.
⢠Learn from their methods, adapt what works for you, and keep improving.
Standing on the shoulders of experts can save you years of trial and error.
When I finally stopped overthinking and just took action, everything changed. Income skyrocketed, stress dropped, and I found carriers on autopilot.
Now, hereās my question to you:
Whatās the one thing holding you back in your business? Is it self-doubt, finding carriers, or learning the dispatching ropes?
Think about itāand leave a comment below.
Iām here to help.
