Horse centred thinking tool: This tool is used for both you or your horse..... After any task again- thinking about your behaviour towards your horse and the situation, or your horses behaviour towards you or a situation you have placed them in. Watching, reflecting observing yourself especially if you record yourself, or ask someone you trust to record you or observe with you. When I started my other horse ( he passed away sadly aged 6) I struggled to see or believe something was wrong. Again I had this youngster from 18 months old, rescued from market!! His communication to me was sometimes so quiet it was too quiet!! He was a Trekhner cross cob- Once I started him ( aged 5) he became more quiet in the school, but always wanting to please me ( again I had built so much trust over 3 years with him he would do anything I asked) BUT.... when we observed more deeply, I realised something was very wrong! His behaviour was too calm, too quiet, insular!!! His back legs not feeling right when I sat on him or watched him.
(My reiki picked up too something was wrong)
He was looked at by the vet & spent a week at the vets....Numerous bloods/xrays sadly he had severe arthritis in his hocks and issues with his patella/stifle!! Pain must have been awful for him but he never told me.... his communication was soooooo insular I could have missed it!! Using the thinking process around HOW he was communicating= what was happening at the time and we think it means what= so you must do this....really helped me see deeper that something was wrong. Even when some people were saying " make him, drive him, tell him who is the boss" I knew deep down something was not right...and I trusted what he was communicating to me!! Equally I have used the tool when I have got the situation wrong or right- To reflect and learn/change it for next time we try 🤠
RIP Zorro 🖤
