Thaughts on keeping a colt intact or gelding them
Obvioualy he is a baby but so far other than wanting to nip when food is around he is an absolute angel i dont blame him his previous owner used to tease him with food so hes very protective over his food he doesnt bite he warns and ive been told he is a kicker but ive had no problems with him with that at all mostly just getting mean around food when no food is around he is a saint he is not pushy at all he is quite cuddle with no food around and is likea puppy no stallion manners what so ever as i said other than wanting to nip with food around due to a past experience and getting his food taken away or used as leverage so I get where he is coming from .gravy has wonderful conformation and temprement other than being baby and pushy shes the sweetst his conformation is still in question as we cannot see much estimated height for him about 15hhand for her about 16hh so if his conformation is good and he stays level headed i might actually one day want a mash and gravy baby but it is not decided so what are your thaughts as I said not decided so gelding or not gelding that is the question after one baby if i choose to breed . this will only happen in their and the babies best intrests . if not i will geld but what are your thaughts also not breeding just to breed im planning to keep all three so after one baby i will be gelding mash also if i do go ahead what is a good baby name for mash and gravy something with more or less same theme
There is a breeder who will be helping me in the process so i will have someone experinced on my side if i choose to go ahead
