I'm starting to think that learning the ins and outs of the VanX software (GoHighLevel) isn't actually about learning software... it's about developing character.
This week alone I've:
Broken things I didn't know I could break, fixed things I didn't know I'd broken, celebrated workflows that finally worked and sometimes wondered if GHL was personally offended by me. I must confess, I found myself on the brink of tears a few times. I was navigating my way through a typical process: Build a lead magnet, post on Facebook, Jab Jab Jab and then get the audience to join a free online webinar, that I hosted LIVE in front of my suave studio backdrop. The participants came, the show was on the road... and... the camera was not on. So no Zoom recording for the history books.... But anyway!
The funny thing is, every time I finally get something working, I realise I've learnt far more than just where to click. I've learnt how all the pieces connect.
A few weeks ago I looked at workflows and saw a confusing maze.
Today I look at the same workflow and see a customer journey.
Progress is a strange thing. It rarely feels like progress while you're living through it.
I remember to not ask for more skills, but for more wisdom. In the process I am also putting the pieces of my character together.
So if you're currently staring at a workflow wondering why your trigger isn't triggering, your tag isn't tagging, or your email has vanished into another dimension... keep going.
One day you'll be the person answering someone else's question.
And then GHL will introduce a new feature... and we'll all be beginners again. 😂
Here's to celebrating the small wins. They add up to something much bigger.
