Last Saturday, someone asked me... "Vic, what if anything, do you know NOW... that you wish you knew when you were first starting out" I thought for a good 5-6 seconds... Nothing "tactical" came to me. I realized that those things are never the real game changers. However, I did share this... I said, I wish I knew that it was perfectly normal... and OKAY to NOT be very good when just starting out! I shared a story about how 6 years before publishing my first youtube video... I had an incident... I was trying to film a YouTube video (for the 20th time!) and I just couldn't do it. Even though before turning on the camera I felt inspired and aligned... The MOMENT I pressed that scary "record" button... I would clench up. My mind would go blank. Where did all that inspiration energy go? Wherever it went... it was GONE Well, one time, after many failed attempts... out of frustration, I broke my camera. I grabbed it right off the counter and chucked it at the marble floor shattering it to pieces. As you can imagine, I felt like a total loser. That day I chose to give up on my dream. But if I knew what I know NOW Which is... It's perfectly normal to feel VERY uncomfortable on camera at first. And the worst enemy of success is... being too hard on yourself. Funny, the same guy who asked me that question said he was confused because with music... he was a natural. But not with the camera! I said, yes, sometimes it goes that way... But when it comes to filming yourself and then presenting it to the world I have never met a single natural! I have met many popular influencers that have become amazing speakers. ALL of them joke about how bad they were at first. I wish I knew THAT! I wish someone told me to have more patience with myself. I wasted 6 years. Maybe you don't have to?

I have been REALLY into Holotropic Breath-work lately... That's the original modality, the one mine is based off of. Pattie took me through a session last week and it changed my life! So much so that I have been looking into becoming certified. That is until I saw how much it costs! (about 25K) and... takes about 3 years! But here's what really surprised me in my research... How many people who went through this expensive, and I'm sure, amazing program... but STILL work 9-5 jobs they can't stand. That is exactly why Aaron and I started Full Time Purpose... Because it's not just with the breath-work folks... it's also with the coaches, healers, psychics, mediums, hypnotherapists, bodyworkers, astrologers, artists. We have run into countless people with multiple certifications and yet, ZERO clients. Doesn't seem fair does it? And it's not because there aren't loads of people out there who want what you have... In fact that number is growing by the day! It's because these programs do not teach 2 essential things... Sales and marketing. Without both of those you can possess the skills of Carl Jung and still struggle to keep the lights on in your home. And I understand, these 2 things aren't nearly as fun to learn about! I would much rather read another breath-work course book than learn sales and marketing. And yet without those 2 very things... all that value and transformative potential remains hidden from the world. This was my exact story 12 years ago... I was a very accomplished fitness trainer... with a beautiful facility... and only a few clients. And it was only when I opened up my mind and explored sales and marketing did things change. But boy, once those 2 things were in place, things really shifted! I was able to fill my entire roster to the point where I had to hire a manager and other trainer in less than 30 days. Marketing, in a nutshell is getting the word out... and telling the world... You exist... You can help people solve a problem.
