Yo fam, just wanna talk real for a second.
I know life can hit hard.. I’ve been broke, lost, addicted, and empty... but I’ve also seen how God can rebuild a life from the ground up. And that includes how we deal with money. A lot of us are going through tough times.. bills stacking up, uncertainty, trying to stretch every dollar. I’ve been there, and I know how overwhelming it can feel. But I also know that with some intentional steps and a shift in mindset, things can start to change.
Here are a few principles that have helped me and might help you too:
1. Know where your money is going.
Start by tracking every dollar. You can’t change what you can’t see.
2. Create a simple budget.
It doesn’t have to be complicated.. just break it into needs, responsibilities, and goals. Even small adjustments add up.
3. Avoid debt when you can.
Debt brings stress. If you’re in it, focus on one step at a time to pay it off. There’s no shame only progress.
4. Save something.. even if it’s $5 a week.
Emergency savings create peace of mind. It’s not about the amount, it’s about the habit.
5. Give when you can.
Giving shifts your mindset from scarcity to abundance.. and it creates space for blessings to flow back to you.
6. Lean on community.
Don’t do it alone. Ask questions. Share wins and struggles. We’re stronger together.
7. Most importantly, trust God.
Philippians 4:19 says, “God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.”
Even when you don’t see the way, He’s working behind the scenes.
No one has it all figured out. But we’re all learning. Stay patient, stay faithful..and never give up.
