Lately I’ve been thinking about function (Well, for Years lol).
Not teaching moves…
but teaching what PREPARES
THE BODY for movement.
I call it in-between basics.
Things like weight shifting, distribution, and awareness.
The parts that don’t look flashy…
but make everything else make sense.
Instead of teaching a move first, focusing on what the body needs before the move is achieved.
Aka not forcing the move.
This is where adaptability comes from.
This is where movement becomes second nature. (In My Opinion)
This does not mean I won’t share “movement” such as “basic footwork steps” …
Just means It will be a goal of mine, sort of like a program that can work especially for Beginners.
I’d love to further discuss this on a call.
⁉️QUESTION:
When learning a new move, what do you usually focus on first❓
