HEALTHIEST COFFEE CUPS (RANKED BEST TO WORST)
1. Glass Mug (Borosilicate Preferred)
Why -
  • Non-reactive, inert, and fully toxin-free
  • Heat-safe and doesn’t leach anything into hot beveragesIdeal
  • For - Daily coffee, tea, or any hot liquid
  • Watch For: Sudden drops may crack cheaper glass
2. Food-Grade Stainless Steel (304 or 316)
Why -
  • Durable, safe with hot liquids
  • Doesn’t leach if true food-grade (non-coated)Ideal
  • For: - Travel mugs, thermoses
  • Watch For - Avoid scratched, cheap, or coated interiors
3. Lead-Free Ceramic
Why -
  • Safe when certified lead-free and food-safe
  • Keeps drinks hot longerIdeal
  • For - Home use
  • Watch For - Avoid vintage, handmade, or imported cups unless labeled lead-free / Prop 65 compliant
4. Plastic Reusable Mug (BPA/BPS-Free)
Why -
  • Lighter and shatterproof
  • Safer if labeled BPA & BPS free
  • Watch For - Heat can still cause leaching of other endocrine disruptors. Micro - Plastics.
