𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐈 𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞⁣
Growing up - being skinny was ‘ popular’, pudgy was not.⁣
I wanted to be liked and fit in so bad that the only way I knew how to be skinny was to eat less and exercise more.⁣
I remember the sleepless nights because I was SO hungry. But by morning, feeling victorious because I did it!⁣
I became such a pro that I was able to stick with it for some time…⁣
If I overate, I felt guilty. If I enjoyed dessert, I told myself I’d have to “make up for it” later. Punishing myself with more exercise and low calorie food.⁣
Rice cakes was my main staple because they had ‘no fat’.⁣
After time passed I started seeing/feeling the effects of my lack of knowing what to do: hair falling out, lost my menstrual cycle, developed a serious bone disease, I couldn’t think straight, my brain was starving and heavily fatigued.⁣
It got so bad I remember thinking to myself “I feel like I’m dying”⁣
Then.. I swear, it was a divine intervention..⁣
One day I was in West Vancouver, and I randomly look over to a windowsill of Mosaic Books to see a magazine cover reading ‘Alive Health’⁣
It really caught my attention for some reason (probably because I literally felt dead)⁣
I went inside to read it, and came to realize it was the opposite of what I’ve been taught. So I thought ‘Why isn’t this information out there?’⁣
I then remember hiring a natural doctor at the time to help me. (We didn’t have nutritional coaches back then).⁣
It didn’t take long until I started seeing some results. There was no going back. Never.⁣
Now, over 20 years later I am so grateful for that moment.⁣
Fully reversed my disease, got highly educated through numerous serious degrees, and finally feel confident and energetic in my own body.⁣
Best part is, I’m no longer a prisoner to my disempowering thoughts and now have food freedom.⁣
No more starving⁣
No more depriving⁣
No more guilt⁣
Only pure health.⁣
Turning 58 next month, can’t wait to see what’s next to come!⁣
