I'm back to training and dieting after a couple months of break, any advice on picking up the pace again?
Hi everyone! As the title says I'm now starting to train and diet after a break, and I gotta say it's been harder than I expected. On the training side - I want to go back to the loads and volume I was doing before, but my movements are sluggish and I'm lacking the strength I had, which is natural of course, but what are some ways to get back to where I left off? Should I start with less but more intense sets to try and stimulate my strength back to where it was and increase the volume over time? On the diet side - I've rarely struggled to start a cut, and didn't have much trouble mantainging them either, but for some reason now I'm finding it incredibly hard. I'm a male, 24, 175 cm, at around 90KG at the moment, I was doing maintenance at 2300 calories when I was training and at around 86, so I wanted to start with that which would be a relatively small cut from where I am now, but for some reason, I did that for 2 weeks around 20 days ago and it was extremely hard. I was feeling hunger quite often no matter what I did. Any tips on all of this?
What instruments do you play?
My main instruments are guitar, drums and bass. I play mostly drums nowadays. I know the focus is more on traditional instruments here. I'm still totally proud of my instruments :D I play mostly metal drums, so it's quite intense. I see a lot of older metal bands switching out their drummer, because it's mostly the drummer that can't keep up anymore. Imagine being 60+ still playing that fast and intense music.
Practice sessions
Hello! I’ve been thinking about warming up and stretching before and after my practice sessions. But I’m a bit lost in what exercises should I do and if it’s necessary to have a routine established. During the last few years, I’ve had teachers that said that we actually don’t need to do it and others that say the opposite. So, I would like to ask for opinions and some suggestions :)) Thanks! ☺️
About Creatine
Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of information about creatine and how it can be beneficial, specifically for women. We all know that physically speaking men are stronger that women and I read that creatine can be really helpful to give us energy to workout better, specially in the period of our menstrual cycle that we are weaker. Is this true?
21 Day Mini Workout Challenge
Hello all, I am starting the 21 Day Mini Workout Challenge today, but I don't have a resistance band for the Close Grip Band Row. Can I do the Superman exercise instead, or does anyone have other suggestions? Thank you so much for your help! 😉
