This is the exact program I did, to help me go from not running, to running my 1st half marathon, within a few months. 3 runs per week. 9 weeks. Each week builds on the last. By the end, you'll run for 30 minutes without stopping , which for most people is somewhere between 4 and 5 kilometres. You don't need to be fit to start. You need to show up three times a week and follow the sessions in order. That's it.
