Folding Cards and Card Holders

So I keep hearing conflicting information about folding fingerprint cards.

Some say you should fold the cards.

Other says no, don't fold. Some also say don't use the card holders because they cause a crease in the cards.

Which is correct? I've heard folded or creased cards will/may be rejected. 😬
