I Was Homeless at Thanksgiving...
I wasn’t sitting at a family table. I was in a hotel room (still a blessing, yes), technically homeless, carving a cantaloupe like a turkey.
Heartbroken. Stressed. Trying to finish a doctorate on $1500/month stipend...and that was only during the academic months. $0 in the Summer. Routinal for 7.5 years. Yet, THIS TIME, determined NOT to fall back into emotional eating.
That melon ended up being a mirror. A mindset shift. Proof that you can retrain your brain even when life is falling apart.
And listen — my overall body type is slimmer than most, but this belly? Whewww it holds stories: stress, shame, survival. You can’t "gym away" what you haven’t emotionally released.
So if you're still wrestling with food that don’t love you back…before you spend another dime on a gym membership —come meet me in my Brain Gym.
