Midweek Reflection — TERUMAH 🕊️
This week we are in Terumah (תְּרוּמָה) — “The Contribution”📖 Exodus 25:1–27:19
God did something extraordinary.
He didn’t demand a tax.He invited a heart.
“From every man whose heart moves him you shall take My offering.” (Exodus 25:2)
The Hebrew root rum means to lift up.A terumah is something elevated — lifted from ordinary use into sacred purpose.
Gold. Silver. Fabric. Wood. Oil.All ordinary materials… until they were given willingly.
And what was the purpose?
“Let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.” (Exodus 25:8)
Not just a building.A dwelling place.
Midweek question:
What in your life is still “common” that God is asking you to lift into sacred purpose?
Your time?
Your leadership?
Your business?
Your family?
Terumah teaches us this:God does not force His dwelling. He responds to willing hearts.
May we be people whose hearts move.
