⚓ The Muster: Every Office Has a Heckler
I was thinking this morning about the difference between a Comedy Club and a Boardroom. Turns out, there isn't much of a difference.
In a comedy club, you’ve got the Heckler—the person in the dark corner trying to trip you up, kill your timing, and steal the spotlight.
In your office, you’ve got the exact same thing. It might be a shouting boss, a passive-aggressive colleague at the coffee dock, or that one person who always "interrupts with a question" just as you’re reaching your point.
They are all just Hecklers. And the rule of the stage is simple: If you lose your temper, the Heckler wins. If you stay steady, the Audience (the crew) stays with you.
I want to hear from the Fleet today
  1. Where are you sailing? (What’s your industry or role?)
  2. Who’s your "Heckler"? (Is it a micro-managing boss? A "vulture" colleague? Or maybe even your own self-doubt?)
Sound off in the comments below. Let’s identify the reefs so we can navigate around them together.
