Ray Thigpen - Doing What You Know
Some communities online are just noise… but some actually help you grow. One that stands out to me is Ray Thigpen's “Doing What You Know” community. Ray has built a space that isn’t about pressure, hype, or unrealistic expectations. Instead, he focuses on something far more powerful — progress through small, consistent action. His philosophy is simple but effective: 🧱 One brick at a time. Instead of overwhelming people with big goals, Ray helps members overcome procrastination by focusing on micro-goals — small steps that build momentum. When you take one step, then another, fear starts to shrink and confidence begins to grow. Another unique aspect of his community is the token system.Members can actually earn tokens by adding value inside the community — things like: • Creating helpful posts • Engaging with other members’ posts • Encouraging and supporting others • Sharing knowledge and experience It’s a system that rewards participation, contribution, and genuine value. What I appreciate most about Ray is that he genuinely cares about people progressing at their own pace. He believes growth happens when people feel supported — not pressured. If you’ve ever struggled with procrastination, fear of starting, or feeling stuck… communities like this remind you that progress doesn’t require giant leaps. Sometimes success simply starts with one small brick laid today. 🧱 And tomorrow… you lay another.

Matthew Hill is one of our awesome contributors here in the Evolve community and the creator of Impossible Performance — a high-energy, private community built for people ready to take full control of their Narrative and master the Four Domains of Performance to unlock their highest potential in ANY pursuit (whether that's crushing it in the gym, scaling a business, strengthening relationships, or tackling that next "impossible" goal head-on). With his background as a cancer survivor, amputee athlete, and relentless high-performer (including becoming the first leg amputee to squat 500 lbs), Matthew brings raw, battle-tested wisdom from turning life-or-death adversity into unbreakable mindset, discipline, and results. He cuts through the noise to focus on what actually works: rewriting your self-narrative, building resilience across the Four Domains (mindset, physical, emotional, and performance), staying locked in under pressure, conquering limits, and creating sustainable breakthroughs — no hype, no shortcuts, just proven principles from someone who's lived the impossible. In Impossible Performance, Matthew and his crew (including co-host Austin Douglas) deliver real value through: - Direct access to Matt, Austin, and the team in regular discussions - Exclusive course videos that break down and implement the Four Domains of Performance - Raw, unfiltered podcast episodes, live Q&As with guests, and honest conversations - A supportive community of high-performers all pursuing their own impossible challenges - Early access to new episodes, merch drops, challenges, and special guest sessions If you're already a member of Matthew's community, drop your invite link in the comments below! I am collecting them to help grow the group and support everyone inside. 📜 Back to Paper? How Some Companies Are Re-thinking Information Protection in an AI Era Lately there’s been an interesting shift in how some organizations think about protecting their info — and no, this isn’t just about old-school nostalgia. With digital threats accelerating (especially ransomware and AI-driven attacks that can sniff out online backups), many companies and even national security organizations are doubling down on offline, physical, or air-gapped data strategies — including the simplest one of all: paper or truly offline storage. 🔐 Why this is happening A recent industry survey found over half of national security organizations still depend on manual processes and offline methods to transfer sensitive information securely — precisely because threats targeting digital systems are so pervasive online. • Offline backups — like magnetic tape archives that sit completely off the network — are being used as a deliberate “air-gap” defense against cyberattacks that exploit AI tools and connected systems. • Governments have even encouraged firms to keep physical copies of their cyberattack response plans so teams can act even if systems are compromised. This isn’t about fear-mongering — it’s about adaptation. Think of it as diversification in security: digital for everyday agility, physical or offline for when you need a lifeline that attackers simply can’t reach because it’s not connected. 🤖 “Offline” as a security mindset (not just paper) Even tech insiders talk about air-gapped networks — systems that are physically isolated from the internet — precisely so the most sensitive data stays unreachable by remote AI-based attacks. The concept is the same whether it’s a USB drive in a vault or printed contracts in a locked filing cabinet. It’s a little ironic: as AI gets better at analyzing digital systems, analog approaches become strategic again. Not because physical media is perfect, but because it offers a layer no AI (or hacker) can snack on remotely.
Happy Tuesday
Above the ground, we see two trees. One is tall, full, and confident. It smiles and points mockingly at the smaller tree beside it. The small tree looks sad, discouraged, almost ashamed of its size and sparse leaves. On the surface, the difference is obvious — one looks successful and strong, the other looks weak and unimpressive. But beneath the soil, the real story is revealed. The tall tree has shallow, thin roots that barely stretch into the earth. Its strength is mostly appearance. The smaller tree, however, has deep, thick, tangled roots spreading far and wide underground. It is firmly grounded, deeply planted, and strongly connected to its source of nourishment. The message is clear: what is visible is not the full truth. Some people look successful, loud, and confident on the outside, but lack depth, foundation, and resilience. Others may appear small, overlooked, or underestimated, yet they are deeply rooted in strength, character, faith, experience, and endurance. Growth is not always about height. Strength is not always about appearance. True stability comes from what is built in secret. The picture reminds us: never laugh at someone’s current size. Storms reveal whose roots are deeper.
