Today's quote from my book:
“The reason so many people stay stuck is because they confuse thinking about a thing with doing the thing.”
Doing What You Know, Chapter 9, p. 168
A lot of people spend time thinking about what they’re going to do. They plan it out, visualize it, and talk through it. It feels productive, and in some ways it is, but it’s not the same as execution.
That’s where the gap shows up.
Thinking creates intention. Action creates results. When you blur the line between the two, you can stay busy in your head while your life stays exactly the same.
That’s why this matters.
The shift happens when you stop giving yourself credit for thinking about it and start holding yourself accountable for doing it. That’s when progress becomes real.
