Another Week, Another Blog

Had a thought about first days at work.

We put so much effort into farewells. Someone leaves after 20 years and there’s a whole send off. But someone can start on a Monday and basically get a lanyard, a folder and a slideshow, then we wonder why they’re overwhelmed by Wednesday.

Wrote something about what a good first day could actually do. Nothing fancy. Just: help people feel okay to ask, help them feel like they belong, and let them have a real go at the work instead of only hearing about it.
