A Resilience Blog
A few years ago we found out our son had a permanent hearing impairment. He was six weeks old. In that moment my wife asked the audiologist a question that ended up shaping how I think about resilience. What's next.
I've written Part 1 of a short series on it. It covers three things that work together when life shifts the plan. Resilience to get back up, grit to keep going when the change is permanent, and learning to manage what's going on inside us so it doesn't leak out sideways.
There are two simple tools in there. One of them, naming what you feel before it erupts, has saved me more times than I can count.
Have a read, then I'd love to hear from you.
