Yo yo! Happy Tuesday :)
A few days ago, the host of the official skool podcast made post in the skool community about how valuable it is to integrate in-person events into your skool community...
...the entire post was great, but I want to share one nugget that really resonated with me:
"3. Your Community is craving in-person connection more than you think.
People spent thousands of dollars to fly to Belfast from places like Canada, France, Holland, Switzerland, Germany, United States, and Australia (35 hours).
The one reason they came?
"Proximity," AKA to be around:
- Like-minded people
- Who are trying to achieve the same goal
- And a group where they felt like they belonged
This is the reason people joined your community in the first place.
Why not take it offline?"
I could not agree more with this!
Not only do humans have a deep desire to connect with others, but they have an even deeper desire to connect with others that are similar to them.
When you start a coaching business or a skool community, you are bringing together people that have similar interests, goals, and ambitions...
It's almost cruel to NOT bring them together for an in-person event.
I understand that we are advancing as a society, and there are a lot of benefits of virtual events, but virtual events will NEVER be able to give your customers & attendees the same experience as in-person events.
What do you think?
