I recently obtained this California juniper. All the branches were pointed upwards and I didn’t like the overall profile. This is my first attempt at wiring a tree. Am I headed in the right direction?

After watching the white pine video I decided to have a go myself. This cultivar is Pinus Parvifolia “Negishi”, cost £27 and is probably 3 year old. It has a graft but it was the best of what was on offer. I’d love to hear your thoughts on what the next steps should be and see some examples of you’re early development white pines. Hi! The last video featured a white pine with a graft and showed the approach Tien would follow at the nursery. As he says us beginners are scared to chop our little precious trees.
