Black Pine - dead apex candle
Hello,
I have a Japanese black pine grown from seed.
Currently it’s at a pre-bonsai stage potted in a bonsai container.
This spring, it started growing candles.
I had removed some of it’s needles to redistribute its energy.
It’s primary candle, from the apex seems to have died. It grew new needles around it.
Can someone help me understand what happened?
Should I act in any special way or should I just remove the dead candle?
