The Plant Profiles
I'm getting them posted. I have just added Lemon Grass to the herb profiles to go along with chives, sage, calendula, and more. The complete plant is for 52 practical plants for small spaces. Each of the plants profiled can be grown in a container. They are all suited for tiny garden spaces. To find the herbs, vegetables, and fruits that are best for you, you can start with the characteristics charts at the beginning of each Plant Profile section in the classroom. What is your favorite plant to grow?
Misty Morning Tea and Sage
I love sage. It is one of my favorite herbs to cook with. But it is also one of my favorite medicinal plants. I use sage in two of my custom tea blends that I create for myself. Misty Morning Tea is a blend that I have been making for decades. I love this blend of lemon balm, lavender, catnip, and sage. It is like a warm blanket and a warm hug on a cool misty day. A warm cup of herbal tea works its magic all through the whole body. What is your favorite tea or blend.

Chives
One of my favorite container herbs is chives. This is one of the first herbs that I put in a container and is how I grow most of my chives. Whether I am on the road or sitting on a piece of land, chives is my perfect solution for a touch of healthy onion flavor in my salad. If you have never grown chives before, check out the plant profile in the herb section of the classroom. What is your best recipe for chives? Have you grown your own chives? What is your experience?

Time to Plant Garlic
OH, boy. It has been a year. The raised bed garden in the back has been challenged by the weather. About a month ago, I harvested potatoes and dumped the crates of soil into the raised bed. Today, we planted the garlic. The garlic is usually harvested here in July, then I sort it and save back a few of the best to replant for seed. This year I saved 5 bulbs. We replanted 3. (about 18 to 20 cloves) It is a bit difficult to gauge when to plant the garlic here near Lake Erie, and this fall has been unusually warm. So I waited. I like to plant the garlic about 6 weeks before the ground freezes, but that date is unreliable here. When do you plant your garlic? What challenges does it present?
