Heading out tomorrow for Ryan’s track and field meet, so tonight’s the night for star bread. I had every intention of making the beetrootversion — and it wasn’t until I started dividing the dough that I realized I never added the color. Classic.
So we’re going classic white star bread.
Sometimes the dough decides for you.
I’ve just divided into four equal portions and they’re resting for about 15 minutes. That bench rest matters, it gives the gluten time to relax so the dough rolls out without fighting you. Skip it and you’re wrestling with every piece.
