🎹 Joie de Vivre – the joy of living! I’m delighted to share my latest piano score video, Joie de Vivre—the fourth and final movement of my Piano Sonata No. 6. The music begins in the shadows of C minor before opening into a brighter and more joyful world. It moves between lyrical warmth, playful rhythmic energy and quieter moments of reflection, eventually reaching a broad and affirmative conclusion. As I worked on the completed score, I became increasingly aware of its subtle Latin and Mediterranean flavour—particularly in the syncopated accompaniment, quick ornamental figures and lively Allegro leggiero. It isn’t based on one particular dance, but that rhythmic buoyancy is certainly part of its personality. I’d love to know what you hear in the music.
