A Potential Last-Minute Antagonist to my Doc Film
Hello filmmakers! Happy Monday. Regarding my doc film... we may have a problem. While editing the film, I used CapCut and on CapCut, I made lots of uses of the tool of 'extracting audio' from the interviews several times. And the problem with that is it's a tool reserved to CapCut Pro and I only have the free rendition of CapCut. As a consequence, I can only export the film when subscribed to CapCut Pro. I noticed this as a potential issue while editing my video on how to assemble a gimbal and I attempted to export it but cause I used tools reserved for CapCut Pro, that wasn't possible, so I had to resort to doing the timeline screen on full-screen and record that. This has me concerned about my film but I DON'T WANNA GIVE UP! I put my dream on hold for far too long and I am not doing that anymore. I am gonna finish this film come hell or high water (and I am the hell and the high water. If you know, you know lol). Point is, I have been wondering what I can do to fix this issue and I decided that I'll temporarily join CapCut Pro so I can export the final film (with the purposes of launching it on social media, and whatnot). And once it's been exported, I'll cancel my CapCut Pro subscription. However, given my finances are tight, I now wonder: if I sign for CapCut Pro, given I'm gonna be billed, will I be billed today? If I sign up for Pro, will the billing be at the end of each month? I ask cause from life experience, whenever I signed up for subscriptions, normally they give a free trial for a certain amount of time (e.g. 7 days or 2 weeks) and then you get billed with the money, depending on the day you signed up for the subscription (e.g. if I signed up on 1 May 2026, I'll be billed from 1 June 2026, then 1 July 2026 etc.). So my question is how does that work for CapCut Pro? Given I'll be meeting everyone in the weekly call tonight, I'm sure we'll discuss solutions deeply then alongside aiding with doing final edits on the film. In the meantime, y'all are welcome to chime in on any other solutions to this problem. Cause I alternatively could undo the extracting audio edits but I've come so far and done too much edits, that it'll set me back exponentially. So.... yeah. Any ideas, y'all?
