These are different types of hooks we use for our clients when helping them film videos.
Relate- Relate to the viewer. Establish a connection and common interest.
Doubt Them- "Doubt the audience. Explain how they may be misinformed, or could be doing something in an easier way."
Anti Hook- Say a statement that goes completely against you would say and then spin it into a positive.
Numerical - Reviewing X number of things
Visual Hook- Adding some type of visual shock value to the opening image
Problem Solve- Identify someone's problem and solve it
Attention Statement- Make a statement that is so powerful it hooks people in
How To- Explain a how to video
Experience- Explain how you're an expert in this field and the viewer should listen to you
Progress/Completion/Reviews- Explain how you have accomplished things and show your reviews
Series- Develop your own series. Something you do maybe once a week.
Address Someone- Call out your specific target audience
Viral Audio and Text- when you add lots of texts to force a rewatch of a video
