How to Balance Building a Real Community w/ Selling Your Program?

I want to build a real community where the members are connected and with each other and engaged - and they really feel like they are part of something - making real friends and connections.

I also want to get clients from my community.

Has anyone found a way to do this?

It feels like a delicate balance.
