Hear me out.
When you send an invite via the provided copy and paste link from the invite section...they don't bypass the pay wall.
However, it is very inconvenient to send that URL provided to an email.
When you do this it sends the person who received the email, and clicked on the link, to complete a profile setup before learning anything about the group. Then it requires them to put in a code that is sent to their email...
But since they used their email to follow the link, they have to exit the sign-up form to retrieve the code. When they go back, having seen the code, they have to start that process over and generate a new code.
So they have to figure that out on their own, have it sent to a different email then access that separate email for the code.
It's inconvenient and impractical people will continue through the process having learned nothing about what they are doing.
I guess what I am saying is....be aware how you are inviting people to your group.
I would suggest copying the URL of the about page and using that as the link you send out.
It sends people directly to the about page where they can gather more information and make a decision.
