Feature requests
Hey team!!
I really want a couple things to be able to use Skool the way I want to use it.
If it were to be an “all in one” business growth platform then you might want to consider these features:
  1. I want my free and paid communities to be all in one place
  2. I also want levels to my paid community to be in one place
  3. Therefore, one simple thing would be to create levels, that sync between classroom, calendar and community
  4. You can create “exclusive” or “level specific” hashtags so that only those on that level (or higher) can see them or post about them
  5. That way the community can be “all in one”
  6. That “level” would also correspond to the classroom course access and calendar access
  7. last thing is I really want group chat threads. Each of the paid levels should really get one. Would be great to have a separate app like fb does. This would make it easy to have focused discussion (via chat thread - works great for smaller groups that might congregate around paid products), and I also love it for sending announcements as the deliverability is higher (people ass messages that come through)
  8. If you want Skool dms to become a “thing”, you might want to create a separate app for it like fb has. If no one checks their messages it kinda nullifies the whole thing. But separate app or not, I really want to create group chat threads around My higher ticket stuff
  9. if Skool is going to get “mass adoption”, it kinda needs more creators to create free communities so that more users come who can become clients of other things. More users will create free stuff if they can do it with only one Skool membership.
  10. Also, would be great to have some kinda “newsfeed” thing like fb has… would be cool for every free community to have a hashtag that simultaneously publishes to their own feed and also to the collective “newsfeed”. That way people will spend more time on Skool and there will be a joint “focus” to congregate around…. Users will love it and so will creators bc it’s free marketing for them. This current “Skool community” isn’t really that. It’s more about this product. You can call it “connection” tab, and make it available for all community hosts to “create” on it….
  11. Also, each person should get a profile page that they can publish on… Better for “lurkers” who check them out. This would make it a more powerful marketing platform
  12. In the classroom, we should have “buttons” underneath each video (as an option) so that our membership area becomes a lead magnet for our higher levels
I know that if Skool allowed for some or all of these features, creators would focus more on their free communities, and this would bring way more users to Skool.
This is the only thing that can cause an actual migration away from fb and other lead gen platforms.
It would make many more “marketers” from fb to migrate bc they are all dissatisfied with fb and they can instantly transfer their skill set over with even greater success.
Also, last thing, if the communities allowed you to pin a video or 2 to the top inside a “player” that felt more like a real video player,
It would make it easier to send your initial message to your members, and more people would watch it with the familiarity of a stabilized video player at the top
Thank you for reading!!
