BIG "NO! NO!"
A loving warning...
When you do auctions...
Do NOT allow SIDE DEALS during the auction.
You will get people THROWING MONEY at you during the auction.
Don't take it!
Why?
How is it fair if a side deal is done for $7,000...
And the auction ends at $12,000?
And the auction winner is paying $5,000 MORE than the side deal.
You KNOW...
PEOPLE TALK!
Eventually the "side deals" that are better than what's being auctioned gets found out!
Which not only spoils personal reputations, but spoils auctions!
Post auction deals for participants is FINE...
That's actually WHY we run the auction on Planet Mojo!
Obviously it must be a "lesser" value than what the auction winner got (unless you're doing an Everyone Can Win auction like we just had.)
KEEP OUR AUCTIONS FUN AND HONEST!
It may be tempting...
But if they are willing to offer $$$ during the auction...
They will still buy the "result" after the auction.
PLUS...
YOU WANT people BIDDING in the auction...
...NOT a bunch of side wheeling and dealing going on.
