We're Going Tiered — An Honest Update on Where We're Headed ⚓
The results from poll a few days back were overwhelmingly in favour of: Keep it free + add optional Pro tiers with 40% affiliate commission. That's exactly what we're doing. You spoke, we move. You've trusted me with your time, so I'm going to keep being straight with you. As this community grows, so will the costs of running it. To keep the lights on without compromising what we're building, I'm introducing three optional tiers. Here's exactly what that looks like: Standard — $0/month. Free. Always. Job board, community chat, networking, the member map to connect with commercial divers near you, FAQ discussions, and a free copy of Diving for Money: The Reality Cheque. No strings. Premium — $5/month. This is essentially a contribution from our members who see the value in keeping this community alive — Every dollar goes toward keeping it predominantly free for everyone. This tier includes everything above, plus behind-the-scenes on-the-job footage (coming soon) and an Offshore Air & Saturation Systems familiarization module (coming soon) plus, there will be more additions over time to increase the value for contributing members. VIP — $70/month Everything in Premium, plus direct 1-on-1 career mentoring with me, a monthly 60-minute WhatsApp call to talk through your career path (shoot the shit, ask whatever you want), and early access to everything — including job board updates by me — before they go live. The free tier isn't a watered-down version designed to push you toward paid. It's genuinely solid. The paid tiers exist purely to keep this sustainable and to give those who want to contribute — or get more direct access — a way to do that. One more thing: every member has a unique affiliate link in their profile settings. If you refer someone who joins a paid tier, 40% of that membership goes straight to you. That's it. No hidden agenda. Drop any questions below. ⬇️

Keeping the Lights On: The Future of This Community
Right, this is new to me, but it’s starting to make a bit of sense, and I want to be 100% transparent with you all ahead of time about how we keep this page running. The Situation: At the moment, this is a free community. There is a small cost to me to keep it operational, which I’m more than happy to absorb to get us off the deck. However, once we scale past 500 members, that cost is going to increase 10x. The Goal: I want to keep this community open and predominantly free, with more resources being added as I find the time. I’m not looking to "profit" from you guys; I just want the platform to be self-sustaining so it can keep helping divers level up and find work. If there's a positive balance at the end, I may increase the affiliate %, and/or reinvest that money back into building more resources for this community. How the Affiliate System Works: To balance the books, I’ll eventually be introducing some (optional) "High-Value Tiered Classrooms" (specialized modules/tools). Your Link: Each of you has a unique affiliate link in your profile settings. The Commission: If you recommend a like-minded diver and they sign up for a paid tier through your link, 40% of that membership goes directly to you. The Result: You make a bit of money, we get more quality members, and the page pays for itself. Let’s Decide Together: This community belongs to you as much as it does to me and we still have a bit of time to decide. How do you feel about this approach? Cast your vote below and let’s figure out the best way forward as a crew. ⚓

Comming soon in Classrooms
I'm working on a couple of resources that should benefit us all. The first is a comprehensive list of global links for every certifying Dive Scool, Diver Medic Technician training provider, Supervisor course, Life Support Technician course, Dive Tech Course, Underwater Inspection Course, plus useful tools, Calculators, global regulations and standards, among many others. The next is a global list of every single employing dive company known to man, along with their contact details. It's a huge undertaking so might take a bit of time but the value is there for everyone so I'm giving it a crack. If anyone has some inclusions they want to contribue for any of these subjects - Please drop them in the comments below 🙏
Community Map Feature
Hi all, I've switched on the community map feature as an interesting way to see who's in your region. The hopes is this will facilitate some connections and possible meet-ups with those who are in the same region with the same interests. -- Industry Networking-- Go check it out! In regards to privacy, the map only shows a location to within a 10 mile radius of where anyone is so there wont be anyone knocking at your door. You can always block your location in your profile settings. Do you think this is a feature we should leave on?
