Welcome to the crew!
I just wanted to take a second to say I’m genuinely glad you’ve joined us here. Whether you want to participate in chats or just stay in the background, this is going to be the place where we can all learn something new. Commercial diving is a small world, and it can be a tough one to navigate when you’re starting out or trying to figure out your next move. I started this group because I believe the best way to get ahead is by sharing the stuff you can't just find in a textbook—the real-world, "on-the-deck" experience that actually keeps you safe and successful. This community is yours. Whether you are here to ask your first "dumb" question or you’re a veteran here to give back and mentor the next generation, thank you for being a part of this. Your presence here makes the industry more informed and safer for everyone. If you’re up for it, drop a quick comment below: What’s your current goal in the diving world? What’s one thing you’re hoping to get out of this group? No pressure, just glad to have you with us. — Jed | CommercialDivingFAQ

@Robert Tugwell Hey Rob. Thanks mate, I appreciate the feedback. It's in no way a comprehensive guide, more - an insightful introduction. Glad it could help give you a stepping stone, if you decide to follow through or not. All the best and may see you offshore one day. Cheers, J

@Joshua Brandlen Thanks Joshua, I'm glad you found the info useful. The YouTube video on earning potential is from my own personal experience as stated in the book but should give you a rough idea. Can be more, could be less. If you've got any questions, feel free to drop them in the FAQ's section of the Community tab

@Antonio Badias Alonso Hey Antonio, Thanks for the update. I heard they shut the door to the Mixed Gas course. Did they shut down the entire school? I will check and make a revision to include that but will leave it in the table as I'm sure existing certifications from INPP remain valid and recognised by IMCA.

@Lilo Losti Hi Lilo, great question, can you ask it in the FAQ section of the Community tab so other people with the same question can see? I don't have military experience but I know a few divers who do. There may also be a couple in this community so we will find you an answer.
Ask your questions in the "FAQ's" tab
The response to this community has been massive, and the momentum is growing every hour. I’m getting flooded with DMs asking for industry advice. While I’d love to answer every single one personally, there’s only one of me—and that’s exactly why this CommercialDivingFAQ page was built. How to use this "FAQs" Category: If you’re new or aspiring: Search this tab first. Your question could have potentially been asked and answered by someone who’s been there. If you’re a veteran: Jump into the comments. If you see a question you can answer, drop the knowledge. This is about experienced hands helping the next generation avoid the mistakes we had to learn the hard way. Let’s move the "hidden" knowledge out of the private messages and into the light so the whole community wins. Remember, there's no such thing as a dumb question.
