To build a gas tank that dominates your opponents and training partners, you need to be doing some supplementary work OUTSIDE of your combat sport.
Your combat sport will prepare your gas tank, to a degree, but it will not give you the edge you're looking for.
One of your energy systems is likely to be the weakest and if you're a more advanced athlete (training for 3-4 years in the weight room consistently) then I would focus on your weakest link.
If you're a newer athlete, then you should focus on building your aerobic capacity first, which you can dial down in about 8 weeks. See the BASE program under the 'How To Weaponise Your Gas Tank' course in the Classroom tab.
Once you have a base built up, then it's time to get more Lactic Power, Capacity, and Alactic Capacity work in your conditioning schedule.
You can really weaponise your gas tank in about 8-10 weeks of solid work, so bear that in mind when counting back from a competition or fight date.
