I guess it's because with any new technology the average person doesn't actually need it, until they need it.
With my aim at decentralizing my tools AI is insanely helpful. I use SketchUp pretty often and require an internet connection. I'm so used to SketchUp's direct/polygonal model that trying to use tools like FreeCad (parametric modeling) there is a steep learning curve.
To flatten that curve I had Claude analyze the key bindings and flow used in SketchUp and determine a way to modify FreeCad. The end result was using a specific workbench, re-configuring the mouse interaction, and modifying the key bindings.
Now I've yet to put many hours into this project, but at first glance. Everything seems to be good to go.
