Before You Change Your Strategy, Check Your State
One of the biggest mistakes I see entrepreneurs make isn't choosing the wrong strategy.
It's making business decisions from an activated nervous system.
When we're stressed, discouraged, or comparing ourselves to everyone else, our brain starts searching for certainty.
That's when thoughts like these show up:
• "Maybe I need a new offer."
• "Maybe I should change my niche."
• "Maybe I need another lead magnet."
Before you make any big business decision, try this simple reset:
The State Before Strategy Check
Ask yourself:
✔️ Am I making this decision because it's aligned with my vision?
Or
✔️ Am I making it because I'm uncomfortable with uncertainty?
Then take one slow breath, drop your shoulders, and wait five minutes before deciding.
You might be surprised how different your answer feels from a regulated state.
I've used this practice myself more times than I can count, and it's saved me from making reactive decisions I would've regretted later.
