I wrote out a question a few minutes ago, but I think I failed to post it. So here I go again.
I bought a yarn ball winder on Amazon and used it to manually wrap up some yarn that I had left over from prior projects. It didn't work all that well. The balls started out looking good, then it would suddenly drop down the spindle below the ball and just make a mess.
Maybe it was my fault. Could my hand cranking be inconsistent? I don't know if that could cause problems. So today I dug out the power cord and plugged the winder in. When I switched it on, the motor just sat there and hummed. Argh! So it's packed up and is going back to Amazon!
Now I'm wondering if y'all have a brand that you recommend? I'd love to get a winder that actually works as advertised. Let me know!
