6 Bids In… Here’s Where I’m At🎉
My name is Michelle, and I run Chelle’s Custom Crafts. I’ve already submitted 6 bids, and I can tell you—it’s more detailed than people think. Every one is different, and I’m still learning something each time. I created this space to document what I’m actually going through—what I understand, what I don’t, and how I move through it. If you’ve ever looked into bids or thought about it, you already know… this is a process.

The Bids are Rolling IN
Watching contract awards come through these past few days has been eye-opening. Some awards go to one company, some get split between several vendors — but seeing it all in real time makes me feel like I’m on the right path with government contracting. Still waiting on a couple bids and working on the next few. One step at a time.

📋 Bid Journey Update
One of the bids I submitted was officially awarded today — and even though it wasn’t awarded to me this round, I still wanted to share part of the process and what the final award page looks like once a decision is made. Seeing the award amount, timelines, and final outcome is all part of learning government contracting as I continue growing in this space. 💯🚀 Every bid is a lesson. Every experience is preparation for the next opportunity. #GovernmentContracting #BidJourney #SmallBusinessOwner #WomenInBusiness #EntrepreneurLife #GovernmentBids #BusinessGrowth #LearningInPublic #StayFocused #KeepGoing #BidNet #ContractingJourney #Motivation #BusinessJourney #ChellesCustomCrafts

Reviewing this RFP and I quickly realized these pages are VERY important 😅 As a new bidder, I’m learning to pay close attention to: ✔️ Scope of work✔️ Proposal deadlines ⏰✔️ Required documents✔️ Pricing requirements✔️ Categories I qualify for✔️ Terms that could disqualify a bid 🚫 I’m also learning that skipping the “small details” can cost you BIG 👀 For those with experience… what’s the FIRST thing you look for in an RFP? #GovernmentContracting #RFP #BidJourney #NewBidder #LearningInPublic #SmallBusinessOwner #SupplierDiversity #EntrepreneurLife #ChellesCustomCrafts
