Desperate for Guidance ASAP Please Gang (G24 / CNBC / DCBL / DCB Legal)

Feeling a little lost and deflated by all the different moving pieces, would appreciate some advice as the steps in the Classroom are different to what chatbot has recommended.

I go away on a cruise tomorrow for 2 weeks, I’ll have no internet access, so am wanting to take as many steps today in the right direction as I can…

All started with G24 parking firm.

They haven’t responded to SAR 1 or 2 as they asked for ID verification first, which I didn’t provide. I then sent a NOI, they replied with “Unfortunately, the address you have provided does not match the one on our system, we would therefore be grateful if you could confirm the address that the parking charge was issued at”.

I sent this info by email yesterday, let’s see what happens.

CNBC

I sent my N244 form a few weeks back by email, only got a reply a couple of days ago and they’ve returned it “Please be advised that an application to set aside judgment submitted by the Defendant requires a £313.00 Court fee as a hearing will be required. Please re-submit your application together with the appropriate fee at your earliest convenience”.

I can’t help feeling that I’m going to all this trouble and getting stressed out, to pay £313, which is more than the parking charge.

I have also sent a SAR 1 to CNBC – this was also a few weeks back, I sent via email – no response as of yet.

DCBL / DCB Legal

They are very confusing with their replies because I can email DCB Legal, but then get a reply back from DCBL or vice versa.

The last letter I received is from DCBL, client is “DCB Legal”, dated 28/08/25 – “unpaid CCJ - £285.50”. They have threatened a warrant of control / attachment of earnings / charging order if I don’t pay.

There’s been a major data breach here because they sent me details of someone else’s home address and DOB in Coventry, who obviously has the same name as me. The parking charge details were also wrong, all relates to Coventry, I live in West Yorkshire. The person they are mixing me up with could be an old friend of mine, but I haven’t contacted her about it!

I sent them an LBC last month, this was their reply:

“For clarification, our client can only issue a Parking Charge to the address that is provided by the DVLA at the time of the contravention taking place. If no contact is made, or payment is not forthcoming, the case would be escalated to a Debt Resolution company such as DCBL, for Debt Recovery action to commence.

I can confirm that all correspondence was originally issued correctly to the correct person to the address provided at the time of the contraventions taking place. However, due to non-payment or no contact from the named defendant, an automatic address trace using our third-party tracing service has been actioned. This has returned the results of your home address. Once we have completion of a trace our letter cycle can commence. Please be advised, having active credit can return a high probability of being a more up to date address for the intended person.

Following review of the matter, you were advised that a mistrace had in fact been identified and your data was removed from the case. you were also advised, DCBL cannot predict any further instances that may occur in the future. However, once we are made aware of these additional cases being issued, reasonable measures will be taken to prevent further letters relating to the specific PCN being sent to your address.

Following a full investigation, I am satisfied that this was a matter of mistrace and as such, I can confirm the removal your address details from our system has been actioned.

Please accept my sincere apologies for the upset and inconvenience this matter has caused you. Whilst I appreciate your frustration, I must advise you that DCBL do not offer compensation. As such, no compensation will be paid to you.

This matter is now concluded, however, should you have any further concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me by return."

I don’t know what my next steps should be, what do I deal with before my holiday? Do I pay CNBC the fee?

Chatbot suggests an N1 claim form, but the Classroom suggest ITP next.

Sorry the post is so long, but I would genuinely appreciate any support or advice please.
