Hearing Set to set aside CCJ - 28/01/26
Hi All, Latest update about my G24 parking charge that escalated to a CCJ via DCBL. I'm a little nervous to be honest, I've not attended a hearing before so I have no idea what to expect, any advice would be appreciated please. With help from you guys, I did included a witness statement and a draft defence in my application. I tried the SAR steps with DCBL and G24, but the last email I received from DCBL was as follows: =============================================================================== A copy of the signed and executed original credit agreement under the Consumer Credit Act 1974, sections 60-65. Requesting a copy of the signed and executed original credit agreement under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 (CCA) sections 60-65 does not relate to a parking charge. The Deed of Assignment that transfers the rights to the alleged debt from G24 to DCBL. - In response to your request for a Deed of Assignment, please be advised, this is used to inform debtors that a third party has purchased the debt, as we are instructed by the original creditor it is not applicable. To clarify, a Deed of Assignment is a legal document used to transfer rights or obligations from one party to another. No rights have been transferred to DCBL, the rights and obligations still remain with our client and we act only on their instruction. No such document exists in this situation and therefore cannot be provided. Any and all correspondence related to my account, including but not limited to internal notes, communications, and any documents that DCBL has relied upon to assert the claim against me. Evidence of compliance with the UK GDPR, including the lawful basis for processing my personal data in relation to this matter.- Internal notes, opinions, or discussions that do not constitute formal records of personal identifiable data are not required to be provided. Please be aware that all correspondence is sent via our postalโ€‘app, which handles printing, stamping, and delivery automatically through Royal Mail. As a result, we do not retain personal copies of physical letters once dispatched.

@Ali Bee thanks for taking the time to write your comment, it really helps. I spent a lot of time with the bot last night, and it rewrote my draft defence and witness statement, which I've sent off. I also copied the last replies from G24 and DCBL and the bot flagged up major errors on their part. Feeling much more confident about the hearing now :)

@Peter Wilson Hi Peter, thank for your reply. I only realised recently that I had been using the main chatbot, when I should have been using the one in the Parking Parasites classroom. Good news though, DCB Legal have agreed to set the CCJ aside, yipeeeeeeeeeeee! My hearing is in 2 days, I'll wait for the paperwork to come through from court, and then I'm following through with the SAR process (after checking with the Bot if it's Ok to do this). I'll follow it through with G24 (the parking firm) and DCB Legal. So grateful to you and this group, and the Chatbot is a God send, thank you so much! :)

@Richard Ashmore Oh, I see. Nope I don't know him, but weird he does meter swaps, I'm thinking of doing that in the coming months ๐Ÿ˜
Desperate for Guidance ASAP Please Gang (G24 / CNBC / DCBL / DCB Legal)
Feeling a little lost and deflated by all the different moving pieces, would appreciate some advice as the steps in the Classroom are different to what chatbot has recommended. I go away on a cruise tomorrow for 2 weeks, Iโ€™ll have no internet access, so am wanting to take as many steps today in the right direction as I canโ€ฆ All started with G24 parking firm. They havenโ€™t responded to SAR 1 or 2 as they asked for ID verification first, which I didnโ€™t provide. I then sent a NOI, they replied with โ€œUnfortunately, the address you have provided does not match the one on our system, we would therefore be grateful if you could confirm the address that the parking charge was issued atโ€. I sent this info by email yesterday, letโ€™s see what happens. CNBC I sent my N244 form a few weeks back by email, only got a reply a couple of days ago and theyโ€™ve returned it โ€œPlease be advised that an application to set aside judgment submitted by the Defendant requires a ยฃ313.00 Court fee as a hearing will be required. Please re-submit your application together with the appropriate fee at your earliest convenienceโ€. I canโ€™t help feeling that Iโ€™m going to all this trouble and getting stressed out, to pay ยฃ313, which is more than the parking charge. I have also sent a SAR 1 to CNBC โ€“ this was also a few weeks back, I sent via email โ€“ no response as of yet. DCBL / DCB Legal They are very confusing with their replies because I can email DCB Legal, but then get a reply back from DCBL or vice versa. The last letter I received is from DCBL, client is โ€œDCB Legalโ€, dated 28/08/25 โ€“ โ€œunpaid CCJ - ยฃ285.50โ€. They have threatened a warrant of control / attachment of earnings / charging order if I donโ€™t pay. Thereโ€™s been a major data breach here because they sent me details of someone elseโ€™s home address and DOB in Coventry, who obviously has the same name as me. The parking charge details were also wrong, all relates to Coventry, I live in West Yorkshire. The person they are mixing me up with could be an old friend of mine, but I havenโ€™t contacted her about it!

Hi All, Thank you so so much, really appreciate your help. Sorry I didn't update yesterday but I managed to get quite a lot done. I paid the ยฃ313 fee and sent copies of all the letters in the word document to: G24 CNBC DCB ltd DCB legal. Thanks so much for the word docs @Ant Phoenix . The only thing I didn't do was the ICO complaint, I started the process but by this point I was feeling a little brain dead so decided to do that once I'm back lol. Again, I really appreciate your input and am so grateful to you. I'm still on my way to Southampton, set sail tomorrow for the cruise, yayyy! Lots of love to you all and have a great weekend ๐Ÿ™โ˜บ๏ธ
My update re DCBL / G24 Parking / CCJ
I know I started my process quite late, but this is the general timeline so far, and I'm posting here as I've checked with my mate Chatbot and been given next steps which I'm hoping someone can confirm via this post please...(sorry for the long post by the way)... - I sent a SAR1 to DCBL via email, this included my name and home address, - They replied with details that relate to a parking charge in Coventry in 2019...definitely nothing to do with me. The parking charge & car reg is not related to me either, - The home address they supplied was in Coventry, I've never lived there so this is a major data breach - they've shared someone else's details with me, who happens to have the same name as me but lives in Coventry! - They also said "This case will shortly be returned to the client for further instructions." - They are even mentioning the wrong client, they mention ParkingEye Ltd, but my parking charge is related to G24 Ltd, - I then sent the SAR 2 by email and mentioned the data breach, their reply was: "To confirm, the details held on file were provided to the client, ParkingEye Limited, directly from the DVLA, as these were the details held on the Logbook at the time of the contravention. Once a case is received with DCBL, as part of our due diligence checks, an automatic trace is actioned, to ensure the most recent address is sent to the individual. This returned the same information as provided by the client. Evidence would be required to assist you any further." - I've sent a notice of intent to DCBL, by tracked delivery, that was on 22/07/25, - The same day I completed my N1 and sent to the civil national business centre, - Today the court has sent back my form with a letter advising that " a CCJ has already been entered against you", - Chatbot has recommended I now start the SAR process with G24 and the court, and still pursue DCBL...do you guys agree please @Peter Wilson and @Dave DimeBar ? - I'm going to start filling in the N244 form and wondering if the reason I ask for the CCJ to be set aside is due to the data breach, or because I'm waiting for paperwork such as the deed of assignment etc?

@Abigail White Hi and thanks for your message. Yes what a palava! So the parking charge does relate to me and my car, from a few months back, original claimant is G24. I think they passed this to someone else first, DCB or something, I ignored the letters. Then I received the court form - DCBL acting on behalf of G24, this was last month. I emailed the DPO at DCBL, the SAR included my name and address. They replied within a few days and that's when they sent info related to a Coventry incident / Parking Eye, so a major mix-up on their side. I replied with SAR 2, they mention DVLA and say "Evidence would be required to assist you any further." I sent DCBL a notice of intent on Tuesday, recorded delivery, no tracking details or signature has been updated on Royal Mail yet, I last checked this morning. The website states "As you've used our Royal Mail Signed For service, the next update you'll see is after we've attempted to deliver to the recipient." On the same day I sent my form back to the court defending the claim (data breach / DCBL not demonstrating legal title to the alleged debt). I got the proof of signature, but that form is what they sent back to me with the letter confirming a judgement has already been entered against me - I received these in the post today. I have now sent a SAR to the civil national business centre using the email supplied in the letter. G24 don't have an email address for a DPO, so I used their "contact us" page and sent the SAR. The two queries I now have is: - do I raise a complaint with DCBL about the breach or wait to hear back about the NOI? - Do I fill in the N244 form now, or wait till I've heard back from DCBL / G24 / court re the SAR?

DCBL Reply to SAR 1 - Data Breach!
Morning All, My first time doing an SAR, had a reply back from DCBL, they've also filed an N1 claim form against me. I had several questions I was going to ask in the group because their reply to my SAR is very limited, PLUS, they have included parking charge details for an incident that isn't mine, and someone else's DOB and address!!! Also I wasn't sure if I should contact / acknowledge the court/N1 form yet. I put all my questions into the chatbot after watching Peter's intro video, and I have answers to all my questions. I am so so grateful to chatbot and to you all, thank you so much, love to you all. Will keep you posted of course ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hi @Ant Phoenix , Thanks for your response. I sent the SAR 2 via email and their response was: "To confirm, the details held on file were provided to the client, ParkingEye Limited, directly from the DVLA, as these were the details held on the Logbook at the time of the contravention. Once a case is received with DCBL, as part of our due diligence checks, an automatic trace is actioned, to ensure the most recent address is sent to the individual. This returned the same information as provided by the client. Evidence would be required to assist you any further." Chatbot has written up a notice of intent. I think I'll post it as I'm not sure if my email gives read receipts. I did want to check something with you please... You advised to acknowledge the N1 form, however chatbot advised against this. If you still think I should, I will call them tomorrow. Thank you ๐Ÿ™
