I'm realizing more and more the importance of our nervous system when it comes to high performance. When your nervous system is activated by something, it's very important to finish the stress cycle instead of just cognitively pushing through. When you don't, this makes your nervous system more and more sensitive to triggers (which is generally ineffective).
Sometime it's not possible to do it in the moment, but you can set aside time to take care of this. My favorite stress cycle finishing techniques are:
4-7-8 breathing
Vibration Plate
Punching bag
Walking
What are your thoughts about this? Do you have a favorite way to finish the stress cycle?
