Why Is Vapi Ghosting My Callers?

Hey everyone,

Anyone got Vapi to send a text directly to the caller’s number? I’m using a Twilio number with an upgraded account. I’ve added the command Brendan shared to have the agent send the text to the incoming number, but it keeps defaulting to +1 (555) 123‑4567.

It works fine when it asks the caller for their number (if it gets the number right lol)— which I don’t want, since it already has it when calling/incoming call, and that step of giving phone number again is making people drop off the calls from the test that I have done.

Any ideas? Everything else is ready to go live but this one issue is holding things back.
