📞 Trouble with forwarded calls: Vodafone → Twilio → Retell 😕

Full Call Flow Explanation

Vodafone → Twilio → Retell

Step-by-step:

1️⃣ Vodafone (Existing Number)

People call our Vodafone number.

Vodafone forwards the call to Twilio.

While forwarding, it adds extra SIP headers like: Diversion, History-Info, Other forwarding headers

2️⃣ Twilio (Elastic SIP Trunk)

Twilio receives the forwarded call.

Twilio passes all headers through without modification.

3️⃣ Retell

Retell receives the call with forwarding headers.

Retell blocks the call because it doesn’t accept forwarded calls with these headers 😢

Problem:

Any call forwarded from Vodafone → Twilio → Retell gets rejected.

Users cannot reach through our existing Vodafone number.
