Handling Call Forwarding & Transfers
Hey everyone,I’m running into a call loop issue and wondering if anyone’s dealt with something similar.
Here’s the setup:
  • My client’s main phone number is set to forward all incoming calls to our AI receptionist number.
  • The AI answers, handles the call, and in some cases needs to transfer the caller back to the client’s main number.
The problem: since that client number is forwarding all calls to the AI number, the transfer just loops back to the AI — essentially creating an infinite loop instead of ringing the clinic.
Has anyone found a good workaround for this?Ideally, I’d like a way for the AI to transfer calls back to the clinic without getting caught in the forwarding rule.
Appreciate any tips or examples of how you’ve handled this setup!
