When getting AI automation clients via cold email, I feel like a lot of people blame their copy when things aren’t working.
But a lot of the time it’s what happens after they read your email.
Most people don’t realise that a big % of B2B buyers will check your LinkedIn after you reach out.
I used to just focus on sending emails and not really think about my profile.
Everything looked fine on the surface, but when people clicked through, there wasn’t much there to build trust, so replies stayed low.
Once I actually started treating LinkedIn as part of the process and cleaned up my profile, everything improved. More replies, better conversations, and it felt way easier to convert interest into calls.
I put together a quick breakdown of how I optimise LinkedIn for cold email now, mostly from the mistakes I made early on so you don’t end up losing replies from people who were already interested.
