🛠 AI Visual Inspection Tool – Project Brief
Hello everyone!
We’re a construction equipment rental company, and we’re looking to build a visual analysis tool using AI to automate the comparison of photos taken before and after each rental.
Every time a piece of equipment is rented out (e.g. boom lifts, mini-excavators, dumpers…), we take multiple photos before and after. The goal is to automatically detect damages, scratches, missing parts, or dents by comparing these images.
🎯 What we want the tool to do:
- Accept 4 photos of the same machine (before & after rental)
- Auto-align or semi-align the images to match angles
- Automatically detect:
- Visually highlight the differences (bounding boxes or overlay)
- Export a report: either an annotated image or a written summary
💡 Tech context:
Our internal ERP system sends the photos before and after each rental, so integration with that backend is needed.
🚀 We’re looking for:
A freelancer or team who can design and build this AI-based visual inspection tool from end to end.
